Our Coaches provide on-the-job training and job coaching for individuals with disabilities in the community with the goal for individuals to become as independent as possible through the Power of Work. We support individuals so that they can progress and learn how to perform their job accurately, efficiently, safely and successfully. This position may require some travel throughout our service territory.
We are looking for dedicated, caring individuals with exemplary communications skills who want to make a difference in someone’s life. You will document all activity and progress of individuals through our case management software. Prior case management responsibilities are a plus, but great writing skills are a must.
You will work primarily in a manufacturing and distribution center setting. Individuals we support work a variety of shifts so our team shares a flexible schedule that fluctuates to include first shift, second shift, and weekend availability.
Successful candidates will have two years of college education or experience equivalency, and a minimum of 1 year experience.

Proficiency using Microsoft Office Systems (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and ability to learn and effectively use various workforce development information systems.

Taking ownership of program activities will be expected. • Consistently produce high quality work with particular attention to details, and contribute to continuous process improvement to maximize program outcomes. • Possess knowledge of customer relationship management (both job seeker and employer customers) and represent Goodwill in a favorable and professional manner. • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to have professional, yet pointed conversations with individuals to ensure proper alignment with programs and services. • Willingness to work collaboratively and be flexible as priorities may change frequently. • Ability to work effectively within a team oriented, professional environment. • Maintain a professional level of confidentiality in all work-related activities.
PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS: • Full range of motion. • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and model safe lifting techniques. • Repetitive use of hands and feet as needed for on the job coaching/training. • Vision standards required by Motor Vehicle Department to operate a vehicle. • Conditions may include exposure to temperature extremes, dust, odors, cleaning agents.
