Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Juvenile Justice Counselor provides direct service to client, accomplished through individual, group and family counseling, outreach in the community, collaboration with referral sources, area police departments, probation services and other community agencies. Youth involved in program complete a 21-day mandatory program as appointed by Juvenile Court.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited university required. Experience working with youth and families preferred. Experience working with substance abuse issues preferred.Must have experience woking with high risk youth. Valid Illinois driver’s license and auto insurance required.
