Right now, La Rabida offers this vital opportunity at our progressive Children’s Advocacy Center in Park Forest, IL. As Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) Coordinator/Advocate, you will facilitate our best-practice approach to the investigation of child abuse and neglect. Earning the respect of our multi-disciplinary team as well as law enforcement, DCFS and prosecuting attorneys, duties involve reviewing referrals, scheduling forensic interviews and facilitating case review for active investigations.
To qualify, you must possess knowledge of the overall child protection and legal system in addition to:
BSW Degree with at least 2 years experience required
LCSW, LSW, MSW or equivalent with at least 2 years experience in child abuse investigation, knowledge of child development and psychological impacts of childhood trauma preferred
Excellent communication (oral and written), PC, mediation and facilitation skills
Bilingual fluency (Spanish + English)

Services and programs include treatment for chronic illnesses such asthma, diabetes, and sickle cell disease, and developmental disabilities through both inpatient and outpatient care. In addition, La Rabida specializes in the treatment of children who have been abused, neglected or experienced trauma.
