Lakeview Pantry is looking for an engaging and dynamic Individual Giving Manager that will work to strengthen a multi-faceted annual giving program at the organization. This person will manage direct response fundraising programs including donor acquisition, renewal and upgrades to reach revenue goals, annual events, and major donor cultivation.
The Individual Giving Manager will work closely with the Director of Development, CEO, and Development Committee members as appropriate to coordinate fundraising strategy for campaigns and events.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and project management skills. They will have a full understanding of how to build and leverage relationships and create strategic moves for donors and prospects. The Individual Giving Manager will utilize special events and other systems to develop a donor prospect pipeline. They will contribute to the overall fundraising success of the organization.
Donor Engagement – approximately 40% of time
Establish a network and represent the organization in professional societies/organizations as needed.
Cultivate donor relationships with individuals who contribute up to $5000 annually; working with the Director to steward those with the capacity to contribute more.
Develop a process for prospect cultivation and stewardship of new and potential donors.
Provide oversight and support for annual fundraising events; working closely with event committees to ensure the success of the events.
Direct Mail Management – approximately 30% of time
Develop and implement direct response donor acquisition, renewal, and special campaign strategies as needed for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding individual donors and prospects to achieve revenue goals.
Fundraising Operations – approximately 15% of time
Develop and manage annual work plan, expense budget, and revenue forecasting for direct response programs and gift processing functions. Responsible for keeping within allotted expense budgets and cost-per-dollar fundraising goals.
Maintain accuracy of donor tracking systems and database for constituents, while ensuring confidentiality of donor information.
Collaboration – approximately 15% of time
Support and maintain the vision, mission, priorities, and guiding principles of Lakeview Pantry. Understand and serve as a key staff member in implementing the strategic direction and purpose of the organization.
Work closely with Lakeview Pantry staff to ensure clear lines of communication and effective coordination.
Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.
TOP CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:
A bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years progressively responsible fundraising, business development and/or sales experience.
High level of attention to detail.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office programs and use of relational databases such as Salesforce.
Knowledge of cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies and techniques.
Self-motivation and discipline to regularly set and achieve work goals.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and networking skills with large groups as well as with individuals.
Ability to initiate and build relationships with prospective donors and interact via telephone and in person with institutional representatives.
Demonstrated ability to take primary responsibility for diverse number of projects and to complete them in a timely manner with limited supervision.
Demonstrated record of success in generating significant commitments from corporations and foundations.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
An understanding of, and belief in, the importance of food security for everyone.
