Community Health Partnership of Illinois (CHP), a non-profit organization that provides primary health care to migrant farmworkers and other medically underserved populations throughout northern and central Illinois, is seeking a dedicated individual who is looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the health of a community in need.
Functions as front desk receptionist for the medical and dental clinic and provides other administrative support as requested. Works in collaboration with the CHP medical and dental healthcare team as well as our outreach team to ensure the delivery of high quality, efficient, and patient-centric care.
Performs a variety of clinic receptionist duties including:
Greeting patients, vendors and other visitors.
Registering and/or qualifying patients for CHP services.
Checking in patients and acquiring updated insurance and demographic information, including family income and supporting documentation.
Scheduling patient appointments for all primary health care and dental services.
Assist with proactive patient reminders calls and letters for medical services due as determined by the clinic director.
Performs patient exit services such as billing patients for services rendered, explaining billing practices, and arranging for follow-up appointments as necessary.
Handles patient records and related documentation
Bilingual Spanish/English required
Previous knowledge/training Dentrix, Centricity and/or other Dental and Medical electronic records
3) Duties require the ability to effectively perform in response to workflow or ongoing direction by supervisors or others
4) Minimum of a High School Diploma, experience working in a medical/dental practice strongly preferred
