The receptionist role greets and direct guests, students and families, board members, and other visitors. The receptionist maintains visitors’ log and notify organization staff of visitor arrival. The position performs clerical work including sorting and distributing mail, sending office emails, and schedule planning for the Executive Director. The ideal candidate demonstrates kindness, warmth, friendliness and sincerity in all interactions with youth and adults.
Greet constituents and visitors with a positive, helpful attitude.
Provide information on Marwen programs as stated in program/promotional materials.
Assist guests in finding their way around the facility.
Notify organization staff of visitor arrival as necessary.
Help maintain workplace security by maintaining visitor logs.
Answer phones in a professional manner, and routing calls as necessary.
Assist with a variety of administrative tasks for Executive Director including arranging schedule,
meeting planning, and assistance in outward communication.
Assist bookkeeper with record-keeping tasks (e.g. following up on receipts submissions).
Sort and distribute mail and courier messages.
Complete ad hoc administrative tasks.
Prior experience as a receptionist or similar role in office setting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized with good time management skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
Spanish language skills are highly desirable.
Ability to contribute positive as part of team, helping out with various tasks as required.
Interest in youth and art education a plus.
