Responsible for providing medical advocacy and counseling services at hospitals and other medical facilities. Provide domestic violence education and training to hospital professionals and medical staff as part of the medical-based domestic violence prevention and intervention program.
Average hours per week: 24
Normal scheduled Shifts: Thursday, Friday and Saturday 12:00pm - 8:00pm
Master's Degree in Counseling and LPC required. 40-hour Domestic Violence Training strongly preferred, and required within 30 days of employment. Must demonstrate an empathic, non-judgmental, service-oriented attitude in work with clients and understand the impact of trauma and Trauma-Informed Care. Must demonstrate self-awareness, insight, and commitment to ongoing professional growth. Value and practice respectful, non-violent communication. Must respond appropriately in varied situations and be able to function independently. Demonstrates professionalism, flexibility, and good judgement.
