SUMMARY This position is responsible for planning, implementation and assuring that documented quality care is consistently provided to the patients of Greater Elgin Family Care Center.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the CEO in development, implementation and evaluation of the goals, objectives, policies and procedures of GEFCC.
Assist CEO in the recruitment of a diverse cadre of Board Certified practitioners who bring exceptional value and expertise to GEFCC.
Develop and engage in Peer Review, Chart Documentation Audit, Tracing and other Performance Improvement activities which result in the continuous quality improvement of patient care and the development of new services.
Primary responsibility for the Clinical operation of GEFCC including compliance with rules, regulations, expectations and standards of all funding, licensing and accrediting organizations.
Review and recommend criteria for clinical privileging and recommend privileges for LIPs/clinical staff.
Train, mentor and monitor professional performance of all privileged staff/contractors in order to achieve clinical outcomes and identified quality objectives. Insure the accuracy and completeness of clinical staff entries in the medical record and adherence to policy and procedure. Provide feedback to clinical providers concerning medical record and clinical management, policy and procedure adherence, productivity, and all other facets of quality assurance outcome measurement.
Be on 24-hour on call for any and all assistance to GEFCC; respond to all calls and requests for assistance in a timely and proper manner according to the policies and procedures of GEFCC.
Report to all scheduled work sites and shifts on time and fully prepared to engage in all job responsibilities; location of work sites and shifts will change at the discretion of the supervisor.
Engage in all offered training, consultations and supervisions made available. Fully and professionally respond to and implement directives and advice offered by all supervisory and training personnel, as well as professionally offered feedback from coworkers.
All other duties as assigned.
MD/DO degree or equivalent.
Board Certification preferred.
Ability to successfully complete credentialing and thereby receive complete and full privileges with Greater Elgin Family Care Center.
Excellent writing skills.
Computer literacy and ability to utilize various software, word processing and spreadsheet programs.
