Hephzibah Children's Association has after school and summer day care programs along with a variety of other programs including residential group homes, Family-Based services for foster care and intact families, and Head Start.
The summer Day Care program is accepting applications for nurturing individuals to provide care and supervision of 5-11 year children. Position is Monday through Friday, 8-hour shift between the hours of 7:30 am and 6:00 pm. The summer program runs from June 10th through August 16th.
Responsibilities include supervising play shops, arts and crafts, activities, sports, group games, and indoor and outdoor play. Staff accompany and supervise children at the swimming pool and on weekly field trips.
Minimum of 6 semester hours in education, recreation, social work, or related college courses
Previous experience working with school aged children
Ability to work effectively with staff and children
Ability to demonstrate respect, patience, sense of humor, and serve as a positive role model
Sensitivity and responsiveness to the cultural differences in the staff and client populations
