Family Service of Lake County is seeking a licensed clinical therapist who is enthusiastic and creative to provide direct clinical services to individuals, couples and families, allowing an opportunity to truly make a positive difference in the lives of clients. Family Service of Lake County has provided social services in Lake County communities since 1930. Our mission is to strengthen families through counseling, education and related support services, and help individuals succeed in school, at work, in relationships and within our community.
LOCATION: Highland Park, Illinois
SUPERVISOR: Director of Counseling
WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time; includes early evening office hours 1-2 days per week, depending on need; no weekend hours required
Provide direct clinical services to clients, youth to seniors, in office, and as-needed, in-home for seniors.
Conduct diagnostic assessments and develop treatment plans collaboratively with clients
Facilitates collaboration with other services providers (psychiatrists, physicians, schools) to benefit clients and ensure comprehensive treatment
Complete client outcome measures necessary for grant funding and evaluating client services
Document clinical services daily with an electronic health record (EHR)
Maintain direct client service expectation of 60%
Community Outreach (15%)
Develop and facilitate psycho-educational community presentations as appropriate
Maintain regular relational contacts with specified community partners
Represent agency by attending community meetings as needed
Attend staff meetings, in addition to other agency meetings and required trainings
Support the Mission of Family Service of Lake County
Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in Social Work
LSW or LCSW required
Minimum of two year’s clinical experience in an outpatient setting
Valid driver’s license and be willing to travel locally to provide in-home/offsite clinical services to senior clients, as needed
Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite
Complete all required DCFS checks and authorizations
Bilingual in Spanish a plus
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Compensation range: $43-55K, based on experience and credentials

LCSW supervision provided
Travel reimbursed at federal mileage rate
