The Manager of Corporate & Foundation Partnerships position is a vital fundraising role responsible for the cultivation, renewal/solicitation, acknowledgement/stewardship/reporting of a portfolio of corporate and foundation partners with an intentional focus on foundation stakeholders (foundation awards range from four- to seven-figure awards). This role is also responsible for writing letters, proposals, and reports to support solicitation efforts of the Development team, as well as managing the Grantseeker and Salesforce based grants calendar for all corporate, foundation, and government deadlines. The Manager of Corporate & Foundation Partnerships is accountable for adhering to all application and reporting requirements plus cross-functionally partnering with Forefront staff to ensure that requirements are followed, and deadlines met. In addition, the Manager of Corporate & Foundation Partnerships will be donor focused, results-driven, innovative and knowledgeable about fundraising principles.
Essential Job Duties: • Demonstrate leadership in accordance with Forefront’s vision, mission and values. • Manage a portfolio of foundation accounts by building and stewarding relationships with partners to achieve respective goals and objectives. Write grant proposals and reports for foundations and government organizations (and select corporations and individuals as necessary) to generate funding for Forefront programs, strategic initiatives, special events, general operating support, as well as any special capital campaigns. • Maintain primary accountability for the accuracy of the Grants Calendar and timely submission of all Letters of Intent, Grants, Updates, and Final Reports. • Lead stewardship efforts in the development and writing of final reports, sponsorship updates, etc., while serving as liaison with multiple Forefront teams (including finance) on all proposals and final report budget requests. • Provide personalized service and benefit fulfillment for corporate and foundation partners, including print, signage, e-recognition, etc. • Support the ongoing assessment of department fundraising efforts and provide quantitative projections of fundraising potential from corporate and foundation sources for budget purposes and for ongoing analysis. • Actively research and identify prospective new sources of foundation and government support. • Coordinate and update all data profiles as well as record and track all solicitation + gift activity in CRM database. • Project-manage all grants, including organizing check-in meetings and calls, liaising with other funders and other Forefront departments to collect materials and schedule all meetings, and drafting all copy and messaging, with frequent multi-department follow-up. • Serve as ambassador of Forefront at assigned events and community activities. • Provide various written materials to support solicitation efforts of other Development staff. • Complete special projects, assist with department-wide special events throughout the year, and perform other duties as assigned. • As the business evolves, so may this role. Position Qualifications: • Minimum of 3 years of experience in prospect research, grant writing for non-profits (or equivalent experience), along with knowledge of the philanthropic process and the local/national donor community. • High-level of writing and oral communication skills, copy editing, and with proofreading background. • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and creative oral/written communication skills is essential; a high degree of initiative, confidence, and energy to set and achieve ambitious goals, meet deadlines, and stage multiple projects efficiently is also crucial, as is the ability to work collaboratively with others. • Working knowledge of and comfort working with:
