Neopolitan Lighthouse is a not-for-profit organization that provides shelter and comprehensive support services for survivors of domestic violence and their children. Neopolitan is currently seeking an LCSW; LCPC, Licensed Psychologist to provide evaluations/assessments, therapy, treatment plans, collaborative case management/case consultations, staff consultations, and trauma-informed services for single adults, adults with children, and children in the organization’s Domestic Violence Shelter Program. The adults receiving these services will be victims who have identified or have been identified by staff as individuals who would benefit from receiving trauma-informed short-term mental health therapy and/or substance abuse services. The Therapist will be responsible for linking clients with longer-term therapeutic services as needed. The children receiving these psychological services will be individuals who have been identified as having emotional, physical, social, educational, and/or behavioral problems through interviews with the parent/child, and through staff observation/assessments. This is a part-time hourly position that requires the LCSW; LCPC; Licensed Psychologist to provide services to adults and children on-site at the organization’s shelter facility.
Evaluations/assessments: Provide social, psychological, psychosocial, and psychiatric evaluations/assessments of adults and children exhibiting emotional and behavioral disturbances due to the domestic violence that they witnessed or experienced.
Therapy: Conduct individual adult and child therapy sessions, as well as family therapy sessions for parents and their children.
Treatment Plans: Develop treatment plans in order to address the presenting issues and needs of each adult and child seen.
Collaborative Case Management/Case Consultations: Provide collaborative case management and case consultations with program staff regarding evaluations, therapy services, challenges, and treatment plans for adult and child clients. Case consultations may also include adult clients, or parents and their children when appropriate.
Staff Consultations: Provide general consultation with program staff to provide expertise and guidance on assisting children with emotional, physical, social, educational, and/or behavioral concerns at bi-weekly scheduled staff meetings and any other meetings scheduled by the Shelter Supervisor or the Executive Director.
Trauma-Informed Services: Provide evidence-based services in a trauma-informed manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
This is a part-time hourly position that works approximately 25 hours per week at a rate of $25.00 per hour. Candidates must be able to work evenings and weekends, and attend bi-monthly staff meetings.
Must currently possess an Illinois license in one of the following areas: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Psychologist
Experience working with adults and children who have experienced trauma
Knowledge and understanding of domestic violence and/or willingness to complete 40 hours of domestic violence training
