BASIC FUNCTION: Conduct comprehensive intakes/screenings/assessments of alleged victims of abuse, neglect, or exploitation reports via Adult Protective Services hotline
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Screen APS hotline reports of abuse, neglect/self-neglect and exploitation, accurately determine eligibility for services, complete APS intakes
Assist with Community Outreach.
Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Complete all mandatory agency and job specific training.
Assist GACS administration in all investigations, as necessary.
Maintain confidentiality of agency, staff, and client information.
Bachelor’s degree in social work, criminal justice, or counseling or a related field.
Illinois Department on Aging APSCW Phase I and Phase II certification preferred but may obtain upon hire.
Working knowledge of computer, word processing, copy machine and telephone equipment.
Ability to relate to the agency staff and to the public in a courteous and professional manner.
Reliable, punctual, and able to manage multiple tasks.
