Description
The mission of the Resident Association of Greater Englewood (R.A.G.E.) is to create tangible solutions and mobilize residents and resources to restore our community. The R.A.G.E. Community Strategist will play a vital role in the fulfillment of our mission. A critical responsibility of the strategist includes serving as a key ambassador for the association through engagement and relationship building with residents, stakeholders, entrepreneurs, and community partners. Additional responsibilities and qualifications are as follows:
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serve as R.A.G.E. ambassador/representative at assigned local and citywide meetings, events, panels, resource fairs, and conferences

Provide regular marketing support through dissemination of R.A.G.E. marketing materials (e.g. flyers, letters) and other pertinent information

Collect residents’ and stakeholders’ contact information

Be well-informed of community resources, opportunities and events in order to assist R.A.G.E. members and Englewood residents

Responds timely to inquiries via phone, email, social media inquiriesAssist in the plan, promotion, and coordination of R.A.G.E. outreach initiatives

Identify, establish, and sustain new relationships, as well as maintain current collaborative relationships with community-based organizations, block clubs, nonprofit organizations, faith-based and community leaders, schools and local businesses

Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and any activities designed to increase professional knowledge.

Administrative support for members, working groups, task forces, and R.A.G.E. ambassadors

Serve as rapid response contact for all inquiries from Englewood residents who require responses to urgent or emergency issues

Be able to think about partners and resources holistically in order to strategically connect and build resource guides and networks for R.A.G.E. members, business owners, and homeowners
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of, or possession of well-established Englewood contacts
-
Experience in community organizing, outreach, economic development, and/or communications
-
Possesses the ability to communicate effectively with people of all race/ethnicities, ages, cultural group types, economic status, disabilities and sexual orientation

Real estate knowledge and public speaking experience a plus

Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment

Possess comfort in working independently and efficiently

Availability to work evening and weekend hours, remotely, or at a variety of locations
-
Have dependable transportation
-
Possess strong social, interpersonal and leadership skills

Strong communication skills and enthusiastic about community outreach and/or organizing

Be proficient in Google Workspace, MS Word, PowerPoint, Salesforce and Excel
-
Minimum of three years previous experience in community organizing and outreach
