We are now hiring for multiple Social Worker/Counselors to join our Midway Team!
Essential Job Functions:
Works with adult students in the development of Individual Service Plans (ISP) that addresses all areas of support they may need to address any barriers to their employment success.
Provides time-limited counseling.
Facilitates workshops to address: Trust and Vulnerability; Effective Communication; Stress and Mental Health; Understanding Feedback.
Case Consultation with CCK staff.
Connects students with appropriate programs at Metropolitan Family Services and other social services agencies or public institutions. .
Conducts thorough assessment of clients. Evaluates problem and service needs.
Provides, as appropriate, supportive help, advocacy and case management to individuals and families in coping with environment and interpersonal relationship issues.
Works within contract, grant, and program requirements including meeting timelines and reporting requirements.
Reassess and monitors client situation and adequacy of service plan.
With supervisory approval, authorizes limited amounts of financial assistance to own clients.
May work with community groups.
Works effectively with diverse staff and service population.
Ability to do "live" entries into data base while with client
Must have excellent organizational and tracking skills
Must possess solid skill with program development and initiative
Master's Degree in Social Work or related field from an accredited college or university required.
LSW, LPC required.
LCSW, LCPC preferred.
One year of counseling experience in a social service or healthcare setting required.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Requires mobility to work with a community-based caseload.
Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups.
Worker needs to possess excellent clinical and organizational skills, be able to work independently, and be able to meet agency productivity and documentation expectations.
Must have access to a vehicle, proof of insurance and valid driver’s license to perform essential job functions.
