The Human Resources Assistant provides support and assistance in human resource administration for all functional areas of the HR department. Essential duties and responsibilities include:
Provides general administrative and clerical support for Human Resources staff including preparation of correspondence, reviewing and distributing incoming mail, filing, duplicating and distributing documents. May coordinate with other administrative support staff on various assignments.
Assists HR Manager with recruitment process.
Assists with new hire intake/orientation to collect documentation needed to establish the personnel file and to explain benefits and enrollment procedures.
Maintains personnel files and HR filing systems.
Prepares ID badge (and replacements).
Assists with appropriate documentation of employee status changes (e.g., changes of address, departmental transfers, pay rate increases, terminations, benefits, etc.)
Coordinates as needed with Accounting/Payroll to assure update of payroll records.
Provides administrative support for meetings and trainings held by the HR Department, including room reservations, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and post-meeting follow-up.
Verifies employment and answers employment inquiries from outside parties.
Assists with compensation and benefits administration, and recordkeeping.
Maintains Continuing Medical Education Credits (CMEs) file for Providers.
Prepares purchase orders for office supplies
Adheres to Corporate Compliance policies and procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned
Two years of college or equivalent combination of education and related experience
Minimum two to three year’s responsible administrative support experience; related experience with human resource practices and payroll procedures preferred.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Able to exercise sound judgment, plan, be organized, work well under pressure, take initiative, be flexible, cooperative, accurate, and timely.
Demonstrates a high degree of discretion in handling confidential personnel and business matters.
