Seeking a full time individual interested in a position enhancing our ever growing volunteer base in both DuPage and Kane County. An ideal candidate would be self-motivated, highly organized, have excellent written, verbal and customer service skills. Another major requirement is having experience with an aging population. Candidates that have worked with in volunteer management is a plus.
Manage website and online volunteer solicitation and training portal.
Conduct and participate in Volunteer Trainings on a regular basis.
Enforce volunteer procedures and policies.
Assist with DSCC outreach activities i.e., senior fairs and community meetings.
Maintains volunteer records, volunteer hours and other data in DSCC database.
Assist with developing and implementing strategies to obtain new volunteers throughout communities in DuPage and Kane.
Work collaboratively with Development/Marketing/Program staff to enhance volunteer recruitment and experience.
Provide regular participation within community groups who participate in volunteer activities.
Provide presentations showcasing DSCC volunteer opportunities on a regular basis.
Coordinate and participate in volunteer meetings, activities, award ceremonies and celebrations.
Provide needed support to the DSCC Program/Development departments.
Bachelor/Associate’s degree or work experience in a related field of study.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and knowledge of current technology.
Knowledge and experience within volunteer management
Directing a large volunteer program
Experience working in tight time frames and quick decision making in a face paced environment
Ability to excite, empower and motive others about new initiatives
