Illinois Tech Institute of Design (ID) seeks a resourceful Outreach Manager who thrives on making connections and building relationships. Supporting the dean’s office and ID’s three programmatic areas of education, partner engagement, and thought leadership, the Outreach Manager will focus on connecting to ID’s external audiences through both digital and physical channels. The Outreach Manager will maintain and expand ID’s digital presence (including our website and social networks) and facilitate connections in-person (through events, conferences, meetings, and phone calls). The Outreach Manager will promote ID’s core values, supporting efforts to deeply engage critical audiences (alumni, board members, community and corporate partners, design professionals, academic communities, donors, and prospective students) in order to meet institutional goals.
This position requires the development and dissemination of written, verbal, visual, and interactive external-facing communications with partners (individuals and organizations), prospective students, faculty, and current students.
This position supports our growing executive educational delivery services, strategic content in the form of lab projects and events, and strategic engagements at the donor and board levels. The intent is to elevate and develop these relationships and services to accomplish the strategic aims of the Institute and the university overall. Extending our reach and strengthening engagement levels are the primary measures of accomplishment, as well as successful and effective service delivery.
There may be some events that require support that take place outside of normal working hours. Some travel may be required to support delivery off-site.
Bachelor’s degree preferred. 1-3 years of experience in community relations, community outreach, or participation in marketing or communications preferred.
