The Licensed Early Childhood Educator is responsible for planning and implementing curriculum used by classroom teachers in Pre-K classes.
$1,500 Signing Bonus! ($500 at the time of hire and $1,000 after completing one year of employment)
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for ensuring compliance is maintained with all documentation and actions that are required by licensing agents: ISBE, National Association for the Education of Young Children, Department of Children and Family Services, and Metropolitan Family Services.
Responsible for working with Teacher Assistant and Program Aide to plan and provide activities which support children in their social emotional, cognitive, physical, and linguistic development.
This is a 43 week position and follows the Head Start/School District calendar.
Early Childhood Education Teacher is responsible for the planning and implementing of activities, routines, and curriculum used in the classroom for children.
Adheres to the State of Illinois Early Learning requirements, Head Start standards, and conduct appropriate observations and assessments.
Provides individualized curriculum that meets the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive needs of children.
Must ensure appropriate child guidance and communication with families.
Provides leadership in developing the Children’s Center as a model intergenerational site.
Bachelor’s Level Degree in Early Childhood Education required.
Professional Educator License (PEL or Type 04) OR ECE Teaching Credential Level 5 required.
