We are seeking a dedicated leader with demonstrated success in team development, program implementation, and growth management. The Assistant Vice President oversees multi-regional Child Welfare Services, and reports to the Senior Vice President of Child Welfare Services.
Assistant Vice President responsibilities include:
Direct and oversee Child Welfare Services in assigned regions.
Supervise Child Welfare Program Directors and assigned administrative staff.
Implement new programming and develop existing programming; ensure licensing regulations, performance standards, and contract requirements are met.
Promote high quality, high impact services through active participation in the agency’s Quality Improvement and Best Stat processes.
Participate in the development and implementation of program budgets.
Develop program plans and prepare written reports as required by funder and agency standards.
Represent Children’s Home & Aid to funders, community partners, and other groups.
Monthly travel to Metro Chicago, Central Illinois, and/or Southern Illinois as needed for program management and leadership team responsibilities. Most travel will not require overnight stay.
Master’s Degree required.
At least five years of progressive leadership experience.
At least five years of experience working in a social services setting.
Experience in non-profit administration or organizational management highly desired.
Demonstrated ability to build and manage high-functioning teams and manage program growth.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, sound judgment, and ability to be self-directed and effectively manage time.
A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance required.
