4 Year Degree
The development associate is responsible for the solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship of gifts from individual donors as well as corporate, workplace campaigns and foundation donors. The development associate will plan and organize special and community events, develop and maintain relationships with the business community, assist with the creation and implementation of strategies for the ongoing cultivation of donors, and assist with gift acknowledgements, donor contact, and funding research.
BA/BS required, advanced degree and/or CFRE a plus
Knowledge of and experience with E-Tapestry donor database
3-5 years of fundraising experience
Previous experience with LGBTQ+ community or youth serving agencies
Experience with the Benevon model preferred
Bilingual a plus
MS PPT and Word proficiency required
A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Strong written and oral communication
Strong Analytical skills - Experience generating and analyzing fundraising reports and proven success analyzing statistics and recognizing opportunities or challenges.
Time management, setting priorities, multi-tasking & deadline oriented a must
Ability to build relationships with urban, suburban and rural donors
Proven experience cultivating a multi-year giving program, stewarding and moving donors into higher levels of giving.
Sound knowledge of industry trends, ethical and best practices.
Telecommuting is allowed.
