The File Clerk is responsible for providing professional clerical and program support to agency staff and children, youth and families.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Demonstrates agency clinical philosophy in all aspects of program activities.
Creates new case files for program staff.
Files all case documents in an organized manner, following established guidelines.
In collaboration with other agency staff, maintains a well-organized and confidential file room.
Copies case and administrative files to meet staff needs (e.g., subpoenas, ACRs, CIPPs, court hearings, audits, events, etc.).
Faxes and scans documents at the request of program or administrative staff.
Prepares files for contract and licensing monitoring reviews.
Properly stores and tracks closed and archived case and administrative files.
Accurately enters required data into agency databases (IPS database, Medicaid database, etc.)
Provides reception coverage as assigned, including distributing Norman Funds checks to child welfare workers.
Assists in coordinating program related activities including art and advocacy, as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma
Degree Preferred: Bachelors Degree in social service or related field
Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year of office or social service experience
Information Technology Skills Required: Microsoft Office Proficiency
Other Requirements: Excellent organizational, oral communication and time management skills.
