Therapeutic Mentor Position GRO Community's Therapeutic Mentor (TM) serves as a counselor/mentor to at risk teenage, and young adult males that suffer from behavior health challenges. The TM creates a relationship with the clients and engage them in Cognitive Behavioral Interventions to assist the clients in overcoming their behavior challenges. Additionally, the TM provide case management services by working with the client's teachers, parents, and connecting their client's to resources in the community.
Job Responsibilities 1. Maintain a caseload of 10 -15 clients 2. Bill at least 10 hours a week 3. Monitor the individual’s status in relation to the service plan; 4. Advocate for the individuals right and services; 5. Facilitate individual linkages and transfer; 6. Assures that information specified by the services plan is included in the individuals record 7. Initiate and coordinate the interdisciplinary process as often as specified in the services plan or when required by problems or changes
*Masters in social work, counseling, psychology, or human service field preferred *Must have at least a bachelors in social work, psychology, or human service field or (in school pursuing a master in social work or counseling) *Have adequate transportation *Proof of Car Insurance
