The Director of Quality Improvement provides qualitative support and independent guidance to the various services provided at New Star. This support and guidance is provided as part of the organization’s Executive Team, through collaboration across all program related departments and interacting with staff at all levels of the organization. Areas of responsibility include:

State Quality Management (IL and IN) * Intake Services

There are two full-time employees that report to this position and is based out of our Dolton office.
Serve as the organization’s liaison with the Office of Inspector General, including gathering all internal documentation and coordinating all interviews between the investigators and agency staff.
Ensure the organization has an effective and responsive consumer intake process that includes marketing materials, strong communication with referral sources and families and efficient screening process for Illinois DHS and Indiana DDRS.
In partnership with program staff, develop and monitor quality measures to ensure services being provided meet the needs of our consumers and their families.
Issue quarterly report on the organization’s goals.
Conduct annual stakeholder satisfaction surveys, including use of nationally recognized Core Measures.
Oversee the organization’s Human Rights Committee.
Serve as the organization’s liaison with state agency quality management staff (i.e. BQM and BQIS) including participating in all surveys, writing corrective action plans and monitoring implementation of corrective action plans.
Ensure each program area fully implements national accreditation standards as chosen by the Board of Directors (CARF).
Oversee the organization’s consumer information systems to include Human Services Management System serving as the primary liaison with the software support vendor and making sure staff are trained.
Serve as the organization's Corporate Compliance Officer and provide staff training on the Corporate Compliance Plan.
Chair the organization's Safety Committee.
Chair the organization’s Staff Development Committee.
Master’s Degree in related field
A minimum of five years experience in a human services management role
A minimum of three years of quality improvement and CARF experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
