Family Service of Lake County is seeking a clinical therapist who is enthusiastic and creative to provide direct clinical services to individuals and families, allowing an opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of clients. We are in search of a dedicated and imaginative clinician to be a part of a collaborative team that provides the highest quality treatment to area residents. The position will primarily focus on youth and families, but will also maintain a caseload of adult clients.

LOCATION: Highland Park, Illinois
SUPERVISOR: Director of Counseling
WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time; includes early evening office hours 1-2 days per week, depending on need; no weekend hours required
Provide direct clinical services to clients across the lifespan with an emphasis on youth and families, employing appropriate modality.
Conduct diagnostic assessments and develop treatment plans collaboratively with clients.
Facilitates collaboration with other services providers (psychiatrists, physicians, schools) to benefit clients and ensure comprehensive treatment.
Partner and collaborate with area schools to address the mental health needs of youth and adolescents in the community.
Complete client outcome measures necessary for grant funding and evaluating client services.
Document all clinical services daily, including collaborative contacts, with electronic health record (EHR) system.
Maintain direct client service expectation of 55%.
Answers all inquiries from agency intake line, returning calls within 24 hours.
Conducts initial phone intake interview with callers seeking counseling services, assessing client eligibility and needs; makes referrals to other agencies as appropriate.
Enters new client intake information into intake log and client database (or waiting list if appropriate).
Calls clients on waiting list (if applicable) every two months (enters this into waiting list spreadsheet) to confirm whether client wishes to remain on waiting list; provides referrals as needed.
Maintains referral documentation for callers seeking other services outside of FSLC service areas.
Community Outreach (10%)
Develop and facilitate community presentations that address community needs, with a focus on youth and family emotional wellness.
Maintain regular relational contacts with specified community partners.
Represent agency by attending community meetings and participating in coalitions/collaborations as needed.
Attend staff meetings, in addition to other agency meetings and required trainings.
Support the Mission of Family Service of Lake County.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in Social Work
Minimum of 3 year’s clinical experience working with youth and families in an outpatient setting
Valid driver’s license and be willing to travel locally to provide offsite clinical services, as needed
Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite
Complete all required DCFS checks and authorizations
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member

Compensation range: $47 - $56K
