The Program Manager is responsible for managing the CHA Golden Diner/Summer Food Program to ensure that programmatic requirements and outcomes are achieved.
Responsible for the Golden Diner operations and management of performance of all staff assigned to the program. Program Manager is charged with sustaining established policies and procedures and regulations associated with food handling and distribution are executed as required.
Directly manages all program staff
Provide administrative supervision to all staff within the Golden Diner Program
In conjunction with the Vice President, establishes individual staff goals and timetables for desired program outcomes
Review individual performances for goal achievement and determine related actions
Approve and oversee the services provided to Chicago Housing Authority Senior residents
Responsible for ensuring all sites are in compliance with contract requirements and achieving established performance goals
Facilitate and attend regular meeting with Department of Family Support Services (DFSS) and other key agencies
Complete weekly, monthly and quarterly reports that provide updates and current status of; performance, successes, highlights, activities and outcomes that take place in Golden Diner
Represent E&ES in public forums, partnership and community events and meetings
Develop relationships and partnerships with local organizations that will enhance the services offered to clients

2-3 years of experience with leading others in hospitality and job readiness programs
Experience working with diverse, at risk, and vulnerable populations
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Experience managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
Possess a valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and reliable automobile
Advanced computer and presentation skills
Communication skills that lend themselves to building effective partnerships with Chicago Housing Authority and related service providers
Proven experience directly related to the position
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a field role with a need to perform clerical and administrative duties in a physical office. Role requires extensive amount of mobility.
Hours of Work
Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
This position reports to the Vice President and works in collaboration with E&ES Staff. Will also maintain positive relationships with DFSS staff and other partner agencies.
