We are looking for an energetic, thoughtful and engaged individual that has an overwhelming passion for helping teens and families via innovative opportunities and operates best when given autonomy and ownership of tasks. The hire must have a keen interest in marketing, has demonstrated the creation and implementation of organization processes, has an ability to thrive in ambiguity with an entrepreneurial mind-set, and does not require micro-management to address tasks. Hire will have a demonstrated track record of work execution and a history of driving towards new opportunities. The Spotivity app is currently in Beta and, as such, we need to prove out revenue streams, gain market share, and drive user engagement. To address these areas we need to organize, formalize, and execute a sales strategy for the over 650 agencies currently found on the platform. We require a self-starting individual that can set and reach attainable goals in agency acquisitions, keep connected agency churn rate low, and can build and manage a volunteer-based street team. This role is one that is highly focused on the customer and, as such, success is measured on declarative deliverables being met and exceeded. We have broken up the work into three different categories and the hire will be overseen by two managers - Montana Butsch and Jason Randolf.
Detailed Description of role:
This role is to serve as both A) energize and accelerate the growth of the spotivity app and B) engage with, learn, and execute various operational activities. Specifics include:
Marketing Engagement / Customer Acquisition
The hire must be able to create and execute a well-defined strategy plan to grow the roster of paying agencies (programs that are paying for the spotivity platform). This organized plan must be logical, repeatable, and actionable for future additions to our staffing. Specific items to address are
? Create and execute a strategy to thoughtfully address agencies in a logical and repeatable manner
? Chart and report progress in meetings (or attempts at meetings)
Brand Support / Street Team Iteration
Assist in Brand Strategy by A) Utilizing our various social media channels to drive engagement and conversion, B) Learn and help execute marketing best practices. Specific items to address are:
? Reporting on all digital marketing metrics and KPI’s (in concert with our contracted digital marketing agency)
? Provide proofreading and help with content creation
Lead the Street Team by systematizing and growing participation and rolling out our intern structure. Specific items to address are:
? Recruit, organize and execute a Street Team mandate (such that we can rollout guerilla tactics in any market where we have penetration)
? Help structure intern strategy and interface with & strategize goals with these individuals
? Manage intern(s)
Analytics /Operations Involvement
Marketing Operations and Strategy. Specific items to address are:
? Learn and employ Marketing Techniques
? Execute Project Management of marketing strategy
? Support Operational Needs such as database inputs, email correspondence, phone work, filing etc...
Duties and Responsibilities
Learn marketing / sales / CRM techniques and tools as needed
Proactively engage agencies with face to face meetings and appropriate follow up
Develop and maintain relationships with agency clients
Act as a troubleshooter in the areas of platform implementation and data collection
Constant Travel in and around the Chicago area (and other markets) – reliable transportation is required
Follow Operational Best Practices with a willingness to embrace the sometimes ad hoc nature of an emerging startup
Bachelor's degree, preferably in psychology or business discipline
marketing and sales background (at least 6 months experience making high volume cold calls each day)
use of insights to inform effective marketing strategies
cross- functional team leadership and influencing skills
leadership attributes to constructively engage stakeholders and resolve issues
Proven experience and knowledge of the broad base of external customers
1+ year experience in Technical sales & customer success leadership experience
1+ year experience in at least some of the following areas (willing to train in areas to fill gaps):
Social Media tools: Meet Edgar, Convert Kit, Twillio, and others
