Blind Service Association is a small non-profit organization seeking a highly energetic, creative, self-starting, take charge individual as the Volunteer Coordinator for our Programs.
To be successful in this position you must be flexible and able to direct, motivate and manage volunteers and clients. Other responsibilities include recruitment and training orientations of volunteers and clients, assisting with organization’s special events, production of a quarterly volunteer newsletter, assisting in program development and fund-raising and be able to travel to promote our programs at volunteer fairs or other offsite locations. Must have working knowledge of social media sites. Must be able to use Microsoft Office Programs such as word, excel, publisher and power point. Must be savvy with texting and using email. You must feel comfortable working with various adaptive technology programs and equipment that are used in our reading program. B.A./B.S required in human service field.
