Job Summary: The Development Assistant provides primary administrative support to the Chief Development Officer and the Development team. Responsibilities include: coordinating meetings, developing materials, providing back-up support for key functional areas, and assisting team members with administrative tasks as needed.
Provides administrative support to the Chief Development Officer (CDO) including calendar management, securing and preparing materials and presentations for donor appointments, and follow-up activities
Provides administrative support to the Development team for meetings, campaigns and events, as assigned/approved by the CDO
Assists with generating gift acknowledgment letters and other stewardship pieces
Runs regular reports and distributes to Development team as needed
Assists with maintaining the constituent database
Assists with coverage of the front desk
Other duties as assigned

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Multitasking and organization skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with Raisers Edge or other constituent database (preferred)
Preferred Education & Experience:
Special event and/or general assistant experience
1-2 years administrative experience
