Under the supervision of the Director of Evaluation and Quality Improvement, the Evaluation and Data Manager will be responsible for expanding JUF’s analysis and use of data for program planning, quality improvement, resource allocation, and communications with various constituencies. This new position will work in coordination with the Director of Evaluation and Quality Improvement to support and expand external data and evaluation efforts for JUF’s partner agencies, individually and collectively (via the Shared Outcomes project), in addition to supporting internal JUF evaluation and ongoing research activities.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the development and implementation of collective outcome frameworks in a variety of impact areas including: Older Adults, Mental Health, Education, Disabilities, Physical Health and Wellness, Poverty, and Jewish Engagement.
Coordinate efforts to promote system and agency learning opportunities and encourage utilization of results to drive continuous quality improvement across agencies and programs.
Provide analysis and data visualization for internal and external agency partners.
Provide ongoing evaluation capacity building support and technical assistance to agencies and programs.
Provide support, as needed, related to internal evaluation, such as the development of outcome frameworks, implementation of data collection systems, data analysis, and reporting.
Support JUF departments in the routine analysis and reporting of data stored in Salesforce.
Provide support across JUF Planning and Allocations (e.g. 2020 Metropolitan Chicago Population Study, agency planning projects, community initiatives), as needed.
Directly support JUF campaign integration on an ongoing basis in addition to mandatory campaign-related activities.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
Advanced degree in a related field, required.
3-5 years of relevant professional experience (e.g. program evaluation, data analysis).
Expertise in program evaluation methodology and management principles, required.
Direct experience in implementing data management processes, procedures, data quality management, and decision support.
Hands-on experience in both data architecture/design and data analysis.
Proven experience in navigating complex organizations and creative problem solving.
Able to naturally establish senior-level working relationships and communications.
Able to translate complex technical topics into easy to understand concepts.
Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and project management skills.
Must be able to multitask, juggle competing priorities and pay strong attention to detail.
Understanding of data tracking software (e.g., Excel) and other relevant technological applications for evaluation (e.g., Survey Monkey, SPSS), required; experience in Salesforce, Power BI and/or Tableau, strongly preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team as a cooperative and supportive team member to colleagues with a wide range of perspectives and abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong ability to synthesize and represent data and research evaluation findings for use by multiple audiences (e.g., policymakers, funders, advocates, practitioners, community members, etc.)
