The Aspire Careers team is looking to grow the number of people with disabilities who are meaningfully employed across Chicagoland!
Position Summary: The Business Development Manager will help us to ensure people with disabilities are included in the workforce by managing and developing a portfolio of community employment partner accounts.
Proactively develop and maintain relationships with employment partners (companies that hire adults with disabilities) to promote Aspire and educate them on services and initiatives.
Help identify employee engagement opportunities and serve as a resource for companies to strengthen their corporate social responsibilities (CSR) strategies focused on talent acquisition and retention.
Strengthen and evolve existing relationships to ensure commitment and viability; responsible for building a portfolio of new partnerships with corporations that result in employment opportunities for adults with disabilities consistent with immediate and long-term goals and priorities.
Maintain a rigorous schedule of contacts with corporate representatives, delivering the story of Aspire through compelling presentations, engagement program options, and comprehensive employment commitment plans.
Work collaboratively with the marketing and partnership team to create communication deliverables (ala carte menu of options) making it as easy as possible for partners to easily share the story of Aspire, through video, face-to-face, online stories. Ensuring commitment to leverage the CEO, CSR leader and CHRO.
Provide leadership for planning and administration of employer outreach programs, services and initiatives.
Serve as a point of contact for organizations in order to facilitate program activities, such as career panels, offsite employee tours and events.
Leverage Aspire’s CRM database to drive corporate and candidate engagement opportunities.
Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Strong relationship-building skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Strong organizational, time management and project management skills.
Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills –written and verbal – with internal and external audiences.
Strong analytical and computer skills; database management experience a plus.
Ability to work cooperatively with different types of personalities and people from diverse backgrounds.
Familiarity and commitment to developmental disabilities is strongly preferred.
This position will be located in both Lake and Cook County.
