The Government Contracts & Compliance Manager is responsible for all aspects of South Suburban PADS’ contract billings and financial reports.
Serve as principal point of contact for government contract management activities;
Ensure formal and standardized documentation has been developed for efficient contract management processes and governmental standards requirements;
Prepare and submit all government contract payment requests and necessary expense documentation in a timely manner;
Prepare budgets for new RFP’s and contracts;
Maintain current knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures;
Build strong relationships with internal leadership and as well as external government funders;
Ensure matches on all contracts are appropriate and accurate;
Work with Director of Finance to ensure accurate spend down of all contracts;
Provide financial reports to Director of Finance and appropriate managers on status of all government contracts;
Process of payroll every other week; and
Other as assigned

Over the past 28 years, the organization has provided shelter and meals to enable over 17,000 people to survive homelessness. In addition, South Suburban PADS provides pathways home and currently helps over 500 people to preserve or access affordable rental homes every year. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Accounting and/or Finance, or a related discipline, OR the equivalent combination of Bachelor’s degree with professional training and work experience;
Prefer someone with experience in government contracting with a nonprofit corporation in housing and homelessness services;
Candidates must be proficient with software tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook;
Candidate must be organized, deadline drive, be able to multi-task, work under high stress deadline cycles, and have the utmost attention to detail; and
Able to work late hours and sometimes weekends when necessary.
