About the Position
The Employment Opportunities Manager (EOM) will significantly impact the quality of life of adults with IDD who want to work in the community. The EOM will build an Employment Program that supports individuals in preparing for and obtaining community-based jobs for competitive pay that are aligned with their interests, skills, & needs.
The EOM is responsible for developing and overseeing all aspects of CEL’s employment services division, including the planning, organization, development, management and supervision of the program. Using best practices and with member input, the EOM will design an employment program that supports individualized career goals for adults IDD. Establishing and building relationships with surrounding communities is vital to the success of the program.
The EOM will oversee the development of competitive employment opportunities and create a strategic plan for growth and sustainability of the employment program.
This position is responsible for:
Sustaining person-centered practices and customer satisfaction for all employment prospects
Networking, building and sustaining relationships with surrounding communities and businesses
Defining, Maintaining and Reporting out on outcomes, customer service and quality of the Employment Program
Management of the Department of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) contract, including staffings, tracking and reporting per DRS requirements.
Developing and oversight of the Employment Opportunities Program strategic plan and related budget
Staying current and contributing to the growth and development of new service models
Building of and supervision of the Employment team of staff and volunteers

Understanding and knowledge of the best practices in services related to employment for/of people with IDD, preferred
Excellent public speaking and networking skills required
Be a thought leader and progressive advocate in the human services/nonprofit field
Possess an undergraduate degree or have equivalent experience in nonprofit/human services
A minimum of 4 years supervisory experience in the non-profit/human services field
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Must have daily access to an automobile in working condition or adequate alternative transportation
