Family Service of Lake County is an outpatient counseling provider that offers individual, couples and family counseling to children, adolescents and adults from our Highland Park office as well as in community settings. The organization is known for its high standard of care and the accessibility of its services.
We are seeking a full-time therapist to work with our clients on a broad range of clinical issues. This is a wonderful opportunity to work with a diverse client population, join a strong clinical team, and be a part of a thriving organization.
Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients, assess and diagnose clients, and develop and implement treatment plans, utilizing appropriate clinical modality.
Maintain clinical records, manage clinical emergencies, and collaborate with outside resources when appropriate.
Maintain an expected level of service delivery.
Participate in and support FSLC’s marketing, outreach and fundraising activities. Participate in community collaborations and coalitions as needed.
Attend staff meetings and contribute to clinical supervision meetings.
Manage new client intake process, assessing client eligibility and needs.
LSW or LPC required; LCSW or LCPC preferred.
Minimum of 3 year’s clinical experience working with children, adolescents and families in an outpatient setting.
Valid driver’s license and be willing to travel locally to provide offsite clinical services, as needed.
Ability to work some regular evenings.
FSLC offers a supportive environment that encourages growth. This position is full-time (40 hours per week) with benefits and reports to FSLC’s Director of Counseling. Salary is commensurate with licensure and experience.
