Ensures Home of Relative foster parents are licensed within 90 days of placement. Recruits new traditional foster parents, facilitates their preparation through referral to Foster Pride training and recruits and licenses families who can serve as foster families to children in need. Encourages and provides the resources to ensure licensure of the current unlicensed Home of Relative Placements. The Licensing Representative provides information to families regarding 402 Licensing Standards, the Child Care Act as well as general guidelines for the child welfare system in Illinois, Agency protocols, behavior management, and license renewal. Monitors homes for compliance with DCFS policies and standards, and follows up with licensing complaints. They also assist in the stabilization of placements.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, or a related field.
Minimum of 1 year child welfare experience preferred.
Bilingual Spanish/English required.
Must have daily use of a car, current insurance, valid driver’s license, and a driving record acceptable to Agency insurance carrier and DCFS.
Carries cellular phone at all times to respond to participant/program needs.
