Reporting to the President, the Development Director will be responsible for all development/fundraising efforts at Access to Care.
Grant research and grant writing
Tracking and reporting on grants
Individual and corporate donor acquisition, cultivation and stewardship
Primary liaison with the auxiliary board including recruiting new members
Coordinate fundraising events including the annual luncheon with the Director of PR and other staff
Work with the Board of Directors as needed
Fundraising experience from another nonprofit organisation, school or civic cause
Must have strong writing skills
Able to work independently and creatively
Must be proficient in tracking, analysis and reporting into donor databases
Must be proficient in MS Office, posses attention to detail, be well organized and be a strong communicator both written and oral
Education and Experience
This position requires a bachelor's degree and at least five years of professional experience in development and donor relations in a nonprofit setting

Suburban Primary Health Care Council is a non-profit organization that administers the Access to Care program, providing access to primary care for low-income uninsured or under-insured people in Suburban Cook County and Northwest Chicago.
