We are currently seeking a Human Resources Coordinator who is responsible for coordinating and administering HR functions, specifically, recruitment, payroll, benefit administration and staff recognition. The HR Coordinator is also responsible for oversight and maintenance of HRIS System (records and reports), administering employee policies and procedures and chairs the Staff Connections Committee.
Manage the recruitment process for all vacancies within the museum, i.e., posting, communication, applicant tracking and background screening.
Serve as the primary recruiter for all non-management and seasonal employees.
Assist in developing and implementing effective recruitment and selection procedures to ensure a highly qualified and diverse pool of candidates.
Seek new sources through networking and relationship building to further elevate the quality and diversity of our candidate pools.
Serve as the point of contact for staff on our benefits plans. Is responsible for coordinating communication and enrollment for insurance coverage for health, life, LTD, and retirement plans. Also manages termination from coverage and COBRA communication and compliance.
Develop and manage open enrollment periods for all benefits.
Staff Resource and Recognition
Serves as a resources to all staff by being available and accessible to discuss a variety of employee relations issues, leaves, policy interpretations, and day-to-day changes and issues.
Work with VP of Human Resources to organize, facilitate and host monthly all-staff meetings.
Serve as an HR representative on cross departmental teams, committees, and task forces including, Race and Ethnicity Team and LGBTQ Team.
Track and administer years of service program
Chair Staff Connections Committee to plan and execute employee recognition and workplace culture initiatives including staff parties, CCMys awards, potlucks and other initiatives that demonstrate our workplace values.
Manage and maintain Paylocity (museum’s payroll and HRIS system)
Manage personnel records, files, reports
Assist in developing and carrying out Human Resources Annual Plan and Objectives
Assist the Vice President of Human Resources with special projects and other duties as necessary and assigned
Bachelor's Degree in applicable field - Human Resources, Business/Psychology, Industrial Psychology or equivalent in experience
Minimum of 2-3 years Human Resources Generalist experience
Experience in project management
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple-tasks
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with Museum staff members as well as outside resources
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS
Must be highly trustworthy and able to strictly maintain confidentiality of privileged information
This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday 8:30-5 with occasional evenings and weekend days required.
