Want to gain specialized therapeutic skills to make a life-long impact on the mental health of youth and their families? Thresholds’ Emerging Adults Division is seeking LCSW/ LCPC’s to fill Clinical Therapist roles at our growing Westmont & Chicago sites. These programs use evidence-informed coordinated care approaches to treat young adults struggling with serious mental illness, First Episode of Psychosis, & Clinical High Risk for Psychosis. These services are aimed at changing the trajectory of mental health needs for young people and is part of a national innovative movement in services. The multidisciplinary team provides specialized assessment, care coordination, individual therapy, family psychoeducation, medication management, vocational/educational support, & community outreach utilizing evidence informed approaches. The new therapists will receive expert training in our treatment models & play an integral role in the growth & development of our Emerging Adult programs.
The Clinical Therapist will be responsible for generating treatment plans, providing individual therapy, completing diagnostic assessments, assisting with care coordination, and leading family education efforts. In addition, he or she will assist with facilitating workshops, activities, and programs that will contribute to Young Adults’ overall development. The Clinical Therapist works within a team-oriented, strengths-based approach, ensuring collaboration within the team and with other providers to facilitate integration of services.
The successful candidate will have experience providing mental health services to young adults. This person should have good written and verbal communication skills and strong basic computer skills, which include the ability to document services in a clear and effective manner. He or she must function well independently and as part of a team. Must have a valid driver’s license and daily access to a reliable personal vehicle. LCSW or LCPC is preferred. Experience with DBT and Expressive Arts is a plus. Some evening hours may be required.
