Family Service of Lake County is seeking a Therapist to provide direct clinical services to individuals, couples and families. The position will focus primarily on youth and families, but will also maintain a caseload of adult clients. The ideal candidate is dedicated, empathetic, organized, collaborative and well-versed in a variety of treatment approaches.

LOCATION: Highland Park, Illinois
SUPERVISOR: Director of Counseling
WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time; includes early evening office hours 1-2 days per week, depending on need; no weekend hours required
Provide direct clinical services to clients across the lifespan with an emphasis on youth and families, employing appropriate modality.
Conduct diagnostic assessments and develop treatment plans collaboratively with clients.
Facilitates collaboration with other services providers (psychiatrists, physicians, schools) to benefit clients and ensure comprehensive treatment.
Partner and collaborate with area schools to address the mental health needs of youth and adolescents in the community.
Complete client outcome measures necessary for grant funding and evaluating client services.
Document all clinical services daily, including collaborative contacts, with electronic health record (EHR) system.
Maintain direct client service expectation of 55%.
Manages new client intake process by conducting initial phone interview with callers seeking counseling services, assessing client eligibility and needs.
Community Outreach (10%)
Represent agency by maintaining contact with community partners, attending community meetings, and participating in coalitions/collaborations as needed.
Attend staff meetings, in addition to other agency meetings and required trainings.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in Social Work; LCSW required
Minimum of 3 year’s clinical experience in an outpatient setting
Experience working with youth and families
Valid driver’s license and be willing to travel locally to provide offsite clinical services, as needed
Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Compensation range: $47-56K, based on experience and credentials
