Orchard Village is a non-profit, social services organization serving people with developmental disabilities in Skokie, IL.
The Vice President, Programs will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for the Residential, Vocational, and Intermittent departments, and Orchard Academy. The Vice President, Programs will focus on the following areas: program leadership and management, and external relationships. This position reports to the President & CEO and is a member of the executive management team that drives the overall strategy for the organization. The Vice President, Programs will shepherd key relationships with families, regulatory and governmental entities, community partnerships, donors, and others. As a leader in the organization, this position will uphold and promote the mission and values of Orchard Village.
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology or equivalent degree; Master’s degree or post graduate work or other business related credentials preferred.
5-7 years work experience at a management level overseeing program operations and a demonstrated ability in developing and leading new initiatives.
At least 2 years working for a nonprofit organization; social service experience preferred.
Commitment to the philosophy of person-centered services.
Strong supervisory and coaching experience in leading and motivating team members.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to think strategically, manage multiple priorities and problem solve.
Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
Excellent customer service skills and a customer-service orientation
Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required.
