ChildServ is currently seeking a Part-Time Grants Manager (20-25hrs per week) for our Admin office in Chicago,IL. by O'Hare Airport.
Summary: Implement the grants management process. Identify prospective funders for ChildServ and its programs. Write proposals and reports on schedule. Acknowledge grants received and manage recognition of funders. Maintain Raiser’s Edge and paper records.
¨ Conduct research to identify prospective foundation, corporate, United Way, civic organization and government funders.
¨ Assist Resource Development VP in strategizing needs for grants for ChildServ programs.
¨ Work closely with program, research, evaluation and finance staff to obtain data for proposals and reports.
¨ Maintain relationships with funder staff and write and submit proposals and reports on time.
¨ Arrange site visits for due diligence and cultivation and acknowledge and manage recognition of grants received.
¨ Maintain and monitor proposal and report deadlines; manage records and track grantseeking process in Raiser’s Edge; maintain paper files; and prepare regular reports and analyses.
¨ Communicate with ChildServ departments about funding needs.
¨ Assist and participate in other resource development and agency events.
¨ Stay current in job competencies.
¨ Actively participate in Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives and activities.
¨ Other duties as assigned to achieve the mission of the Department and the Agency.
Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience required. Experience in a social service or non-for-profit setting preferred.
Must be willing to be part of a team and able to work independently.
Excellent writing and organizational skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and databases required.
Experience with government grants, both state and federal.
Knowledge of Raisers Edge a plus.
