IMD Guest House makes a difference for families during their time of need, when a medical crisis requires them to seek medical treatment away from home. Located in Chicago, IMD Guest House provides lodging for patients and their families during treatment, filling a critical gap in our healthcare system and enabling patients to receive lifesaving treatment. Ours is the only organization in Chicago that supports patients of any age, receiving any type of treatment. We help cancer patients, organ transplant patients, neonatal and pediatric patients, traumatic injury victims, veterans and many others.
IMD Guest House seeks an experienced development director to lead a transformation in our fundraising, so that our ability to raise funds complements our strong operating model and solid financial structure. The development director will work in partnership with our staff and committed board to establish relationships with funders, build our donor base, and increase fundraising. They work with a board development committee, report monthly at board meetings or executive committee meetings.
The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree (master’s a plus) and a minimum of five years of successful fundraising leadership experience, building a base of individual donors, cultivating relationships, and managing people. The candidate must also be comfortable using fundraising software.
