Trinity Christian College Athletics is seeking a Director of Volleyball Programs and Head Women’s Volleyball Coach. This is a full-time exempt position reporting to the Associate VP for Student Life and Athletics. As director, this person will provide leadership for all Trinity volleyball (men’s and women’s programs). As head coach, this person is responsible for the leadership and coaching of the women’s volleyball team.
Trinity women’s volleyball has become a distinguished program over the last ten years. In that time, the program has claimed NCCAA National Championship titles in 2014 and 2016, participated in NAIA National Championship Opening Round play six times, advanced to the NAIA National Championship Final Site twice, earned CCAC post-season tournament championship titles in 2015 and 2013, and CCAC post-season tournament runner-up finishes in 2018, 2017, 2011, and 2010. This past season, the Trolls finished with a 28-8 overall and 17-1 conference record earning both the conference regular season and post-season tournament championship titles. The Trolls were also recognized with four all-conference selections, three all-region selections, an NCCAA Player of the Year, and an NAIA All-American with two honorable mentions.
The ideal candidate will possess a well-rounded set of skills that include a demonstrated ability to recruit, instruct, and develop student athletes; a demonstrated ability to provide a competitive athletic experience; the capacity to create and implement camps/community initiatives; and the capacity to effectively lead and supervise coaching staff. These will best be evidenced by prior collegiate or high-level coaching.
The college is seeking candidates who are professing Christians and are committed to excellence in athletics. Candidates should support the goals of a Christian liberal arts education and demonstrate a mature articulation of faith in athletics.
Required qualifications include a completed bachelor’s degree (a completed master’s degree is preferred) and previous full time leadership and coaching experience.
