Christopher House (CH) is searching for a Chief Talent and Equity Officer to lead the recruitment, development, and retention efforts to support CH’s partnership with staff to align with CH values, mission, and strategic priorities to close the opportunity gap for children and families.

The Chief Talent and Equity Officer is a newly created role and a key member of the Leadership Team (LT). The position is responsible for leading high-impact, people-focused strategic initiatives that not only develop CH’s internal culture, but also help drive alignment with the organization’s values and vision, including a commitment to social justice, and diversity, equity and inclusion.
The Chief Talent and Equity Officer will lead and coordinate with LT in all aspects of human capital and recruiting functions, including on-boarding and off-boarding talent, training and development, leadership and succession planning, performance management, employee compensation, benefits, employment law, compliance, employee relations and culture.
The Chief Talent & Equity Officer will report directly to the CEO.
Provide leadership, insight and best practice experience to lead CH’s strategic initiative for success in recruiting and retaining best in class staff.
Ensure HR policies, practices and procedures are first-rate and create a collaborative and affirming culture that can further CH’s strategic initiative around serving as a thought leader.
Proactively build an internal and external brand that leads to improved organizational effectiveness and strategic growth by developing deep knowledge of Christopher House’s unique model.
Lead CH recruitment efforts to provide hiring managers with candidates that align with CH strategic initiatives, mission and values
Lead internal CH development to increase alignment with values of equity, diversity and respect.
Lead the HR team to meet annual performance goals and budget objectives.
Provide data-informed recommendations for compensation for all team members.
Actively engage staff throughout the agency in short-term and long-term decision making.
Work with LT to define employee development needs in order to implement talent and development plans that support programs to meet the organization’s strategic goals and objectives. Oversee all aspects of talent acquisition, talent management, and career latticing strategies.
Lead professional development initiative to assess and develop critical talent in alignment with organizational succession planning.
Proactively develop employee communications and coordinate messaging with Director of External Affairs.
Advise CH leadership on future trends and ensure organization is proactive in creatively addressing any forthcoming consequences, if necessary.

Proven track record to deliver on Human Capital performance outcome
A minimum of 5 years of engaging and peers and managing team members to deliver on strategic and performance outcomes.
Proven track record on engaging stakeholders with diverse background to achieve goals
Master’s Degree in Industrial Development, Organizational Development, Human Resources or related field.
