We are looking for quality candidates to work full time in our Evanston location and support the surrounding areas. In this position you will be responsible for recruiting eligible participants into the CEDA Program. The Employment Specialist/Career Coach plays an important role in helping job seekers get back to work, acting as mentor, career advisor, and advocate for job seekers as they look to become connected to quality jobs.
Candidates must be organized, detailed-oriented, and have great communication skills. Candidates must also be adaptable, reliable, and require little or no supervision.
Duties consist of, but are not limited to:
Execute intake process for eligible participants
Conduct assessments to understand participant needs and supportive resources
Provide job readiness training
Develop professional and relevant resumes
Ensure all case notes are done in a timely fashion ensuring quality control and all facts are stated
Provide job placement services
Strong organization and communication skills
Must have at least 2 years of proven experience assisting people become employed or re-employed
Ability to work independently without close supervision
Must have own car with valid driver license
