The Intact Family Services (IFS) Team Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of 4-5 IFS Specialists. This includes overseeing the case management and clinical needs of families referred with the goal of maintaining the children safely in the home.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures IFS referrals are reviewed, assessed and assigned for service within established time frames.
Supervises the delivery of an array of case management and clinical services designed to promote safety, well-being and permanency for each assigned child/youth.
Reviews and approves clinical documentation produced by team, including, but not limited to, assessments, service plans, safety plans, contact notes, court reports, etc.
Leads comprehensive Child and Family Team Meetings as required.
Ensures compliance with performance-based contracting requirements.
Maintains an awareness of community resources to meet the needs of families.
Makes and documents critical decisions in the best interest of the children with regard to safety, well being and permanency.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of IFS program plan, COA accreditation standards, and related DCFS policies and procedures.
Provides on-call crisis response as scheduled.
Completes other duties as assigned by the Director of Intact Family Services.
Utilizes agency clinical philosophy to inform all aspects of program activities.
Participates in the recruitment, screening, hiring, training and evaluation of IFS Specialists.
Provides and documents consistent supervision to direct reports.
Gives ongoing feedback to coach and develop supervisees and ensure program goals are met.
Reviews and approves supervisee’s case and personnel-related documentation.
Implements and monitors applicable program plan(s).
Provides required data and information to complete department performance reports.
Uses data to analyze and respond to trends, including developing and implementing corrective action plans when outcomes fall below standards.
Prepares for agency licensing/contract monitoring/grant compliance visits in accordance with funder requirements.
Works collaboratively with other agency leaders to develop and implement agency policies and procedures.
Shares information with other agency leaders to promote an environment of consistency, support and accountability.
Represents the agency at meetings, committees, and workgroups, as directed.
Minimum Degree Required: Master’s degree in social work or social service related degree Degree Preferred: N/A Minimum Years of Experience: MSW – 1 year of social service experience; Master’s other requires 2 years of relevant experience. Licensure: LCSW or LCPC licensure preferred but not required IT Skills Required: Microsoft Office Proficiency Other Requirements: Must possess or pass within three months of employment CWEL, CANS, CERAP, Intact Specialty exam and other state of Illinois certifications, as required. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication and time management skills Full time use of minimally insured, operating automobile and valid driver’s license
