Central Fox Valley family agency seeking experienced behavioral health professional to provide assessment, individual and family out-patient therapy to a varied caseload. Position is primarily providing treatment to children, adolescents and their families. Agency has a family-based counseling focus. Evening hours required.
Conducts diagnostic assessments and prepares written summaries
Provides counseling and therapy services to individuals, couples, families and groups
Provides EAP assessment, referral and linkage services
At a minimum meets monthly with supervisor for supervision
Participates in training and staff development events and activities as available
Provides clinical and statistical documentation as required
Will meet expected direct service hours and maintain case record compliance
Master's degree in a mental health discipline plus post degree experience in a mental health setting
Licensure in the State of Illinois: LCSW, LCPC, LMFT preferred; LSW, LPC, AMFT considered
Sensitivity to, and respect for, cultural differences
Good knowledge of Family Systems Theory
Good knowledge of child and family development
Working knowledge of DSM V
Good knowledge of the theory and techniques of mental health assessment, crisis intervention and counseling
Ability to work with multi-problem, difficult to engage, individuals and families
Working knowledge of the techniques of brief solution-focused therapy
Excellent interpersonal skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
