Essential Functions of the position are detailed below, and include any physical requirements below that. 1. Provides expertise in the area of events management to the Agency and assists the Director of Special Events and Corporate Partnerships with the day-to-day operations. 2. Works independently and consistently exercises discretion and sound judgment in the area of events management. 3. Serves as the lead on assigned annual fund-raising events and manages volunteer special event chairs and volunteer committee members which includes but is not limited to meeting with volunteer leadership, attending events and planning session as necessary to successfully execute the event; 4. Creates an annual business plan budget for assigned events and work with Director of Special Events and Corporate Partnerships to gain approval from Senior Administration; 5. Works collaboratively with others to meet fund-raising goals set for the annual signature and program events through focused effort on sponsorships, ticket sales and other revenue generation (i.e. auctions, raffles, donations, wish lists, paddle raise, etc.). 6. Handles a wide array of administrative tasks including but not limited to: maintaining accurate and timely revenue and expense reports for annual fund-raising special events, and monitors monthly revenue and expenses to ensure compliance with agency/programmatic policies and procedures, professional standards, external requirements of all relevant regulatory, licensing or accrediting bodies in the course of performing job expectations. 7. Works with the Special Event Team to evaluate current specials events activities and develop strategies and plans to increase participation and revenue for each assigned event. 8. Conducts prospect research to identify donors with major gift potential. 9. Works with the Event Assistant to organize and facilitate meetings associated with Special Events including solicitation mailings, invitations, and acknowledgment letters which are to be sent within 30 days of each event. 10. Works with marketing and communications on all event signage, program books, brochures and event materials and works with the Gift Processing staff to ensure all gifts are receipted and acknowledged properly.

Relevant Experience: Preferred: 7-10 years Event planning, budgeting and volunteer coordination experience; Strong oral, written and presentations skills and ability to utilize Microsoft Suite, BlackBaud and Raiser's Edge
Minimum: 5 years Strong written and oral communication skills needed. Minimum of 5 years of experience in fund-raising and logistics. Proven experience with managing major events.
