Latin School of Chicago is seeking an experienced middle school English/Language Arts Teacher for the 2020-21 school year.

Responsibilities include teaching 6th grade English/Language Arts, as well as serving as a homeroom teach. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience teaching English/Language Arts to 5th or 6thgrade students and experience teaching reading strategies, book club, literature circles and commitment to choice based reading opportunities as a means of differentiation. Candidate should also have a commitment to work closely with the 6th grade language arts teacher to further develop student writing skills and confidence. Familiarity with six traits of writing programs preferred.
The teacher is required to do assigned supervisions, such as lunch, study hall, and recess duty and attend all faculty meetings.
