General Description Perform all aspects of Child Care Resource & Referral daily Fiscal and Business functions to enable all systems to run accurately and maintain efficient budget and accounting systems. Support Child Care Resource & Referral staff in all fiscal and operating procedures. Duties and Responsibilities:
In conjunction with the Director of Finance, responsible for the oversight of the agency’s fiscal operations, including all program submission of all financially related reports.
Assures preparation and maintenance of complete and accurate cash receipts and cash disbursement records.
Assists in the preparation of budgets and grant applications, including, but not limited to perpetration of budget line item spreadsheets in accordance to Uniform Guidance.
Assists with maintaining the agency’s accounting system.
In conjunction with the Director of Finance, assures all funding sources and independent auditors to ensure compliance with funding sources and regulations, compliance and applicable laws, and to maintain appropriate program cash flow.
Responsible for the oversight of the agency’s budget management and control and reports status to Director of Finance.
Maintains, compiles, and collates all fiscal, budgetary and monetary data relevant to audits to be performed and prepares monthly bank reconciliation on all program bank accounts.
Prepares general journal entries and maintains general ledger.
In conjunction with Director, monitors consistency between contract budget and actual expenditures.
Responsible for calculating and monitoring Administrative Costs to ensure compliance.
Responsible for calculating and monitoring the program’s non-federal share.
Maintains documentation of all contracts.
Maintains required job skills and core professional competencies. Attends and participates in staff development programs and staff meetings including assistance with fund development.
Maintain confidentiality and high ethical practices and integrity.
Participate and attend Child Care Resource & Referral’s fund raising and advocacy events.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and or/projection.
Knowledge of grant funding policies and procedures.
Knowledge of budgeting and fiscal management principles and procedures.
Knowledge of computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Demonstration of verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to develop and manage action plans and projects.
Ability to be well organized, highly detailed oriented, accuracy driven, and has the ability to manage multiple projects.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required in business and/or accounting or related field with knowledge in GAAP and experience in a Non-Profit accounting environment. Master’s degree in related field is preferred.
3 years’ experience in operational administrative support in; cash receipts, accounts payables, or customer service.
Strong computer experience with Microsoft Word, databases, and excellent Excel skills.
Experience with Abila or Sage software required.
Excellent telephone, written and verbal communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to use good judgment and work under pressure.
Ability to adapt to change.
Ability to work cooperatively with individuals from various education, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds.
May be required to travel locally and attend occasional evenings and weekend meetings.
May be required to carry, lift, or move equipment, materials, or supplies weighing up to 40 lbs.
